ELECTRONIC FLORA - ENGADIN
Electronic Flora: Engadin is based on recordings of electrical activity from plants in Scuol and the landscapes of Engadin. This work includes recordings of eighteen different plants where the electrical activity is transmitted through modular synthesizers and dictates melodies, notes and rhythms in the music. The electrical signals also provide cues for video editing. Each plant is also portrayed through detailed graphite drawings.
This work was produced during an Artist in Residence program at Kunsthalle Fundaziun NAIRS in Scuol, Switzerland during August 2019.
Electronic Flora: Engadin was included in the exhibition Electronic Flow(er) at Kunsthalle Fundaziun NAIRS curated by Nadia Bensbih. The exhibition also included works by Anna Comiotto and Marcus Maeder.
